A child centred, adult guided teaching environment.

  • We believe that young children learn best through play and we structure the learning environment to meet children’s needs by providing plenty of diverse materials to support autonomy.
  • We are a parent led co-operative working in partnership with teachers, parents and whanau.
  • We believe in the unique place of Maori as Tangata Whenua. By learning Te Reo and becoming increasingly familiar with tikanga, Maori children strengthen their identities, while non Maori journey towards shared cultural understandings.
  • We are committed to providing equitable, accessible quality early childhood education, providing services to the community.
  • We believe that ongoing professional development and support is essential for teacher’s growth.
  • We acknowledge that New Zealand has a multicultural society and with that we will respect the uniqueness of each culture, its customs and beliefs with our learning environment and choice of resources.
